What a surprise, Jones now denies he ever agreed with a 2004 petition on which his name appears, a petition calling for an investigation and congressional hearings into "evidence that suggests high-level government officials may have deliberately allowed the September 11th attacks to occur."

In his statement Jones said of "the petition that was circulated today, I do not agree with this statement and it certainly does not reflect my views now or ever." An administration source said Jones says he did not carefully review the language in the petition before agreeing to add his name.

Are you kidding me? Is this man's ego so bloated he thinks people will believe he didn't realise what he was putting his name to...it's hardy a 1,000 page document. I read it in a couple of minutes and fully understand what it states and what it means without the benefit of Jones' Yale education. Of course his leftist, America hating supporters will swallow it and try to defend the indefensible but I just wonder how much more support Barry O is prepared to lose over this lying, commie racist.

This article from 2002 links Van Jones to the 9-11 Truther movement at its infancy. Jones was one of the organising committee of a San Francisco march to demand congressional enquiry of 9/11.

So much for not agreeing or reflecting his views.

Since my last post 12 hours ago it's come to light that Van Jones is a member of the '9/11 truther movement' . He's the 46th of 99 signatories, he was 47 of 100 but it seems someone has had their signature removed, I'm sure that name will be known soon enough.

Not a presidential candidate, as some of his supporters would have him be and are setting up websites for a 2012 bid by this self-confessed communist and blatant racist, but the next candidate, like Rev. Wright and grandma, to be thrown under the bus by Obama...I'll give it a week, two max. It's getting a bit crowded under that bus with all those political corpses.

Obama's green jobs, enterprise and innovation czar has been making headlines for all the wrong reasons and is in no short measure contributing to 'The Chosen One's' plummeting approval ratings. He must surely regret the comment " judge me by the company I keep, by whom I surround myself with."

Videos are popping up all over the internet of this man saying some of the most outrageous things including quotes such as "The white polluters and the white environmentalists are essentially steering poison into the people of color communities." The latest to surface is this one of him calling Republicans 'assholes'. If these are the type of people Obama chooses to surround himself with, what does it really say about him?

Van Jones website has been taken down and replaced with a 'currently under construction' page. There's a lot of backpeddling and damage limitation currently going on by both him and the White House.

Poor old Barry, life's tough at top isn't it? There you were thinking you would have a week holidaying on the millionaire's playground but instead you've had the inconvenience of having to announce another term for Bernanke and then dear old fat, drunken Teddy selfishly pops his clogs while you are on vacation and you have to practice your eulogy....good job you took plenty of teleprompters with you.

White House spokesperson Bill Burton announced yesterday that Obama will be taking a second vacation next week at Camp David......could you imagine what would have been said if it were Bush?

Oh do shut up Madonna

Why do some actors, musicians and entertainers insist on giving us their uninformed and crass opinions, why don't they just stick to what they (well, some of them) do best? It's bad enough we have to hear the same such views every day from certain politicians, newspaper columnists and news anchors without dumb celebrities chiming in. Many a good movie or CD has been spoiled for me because the celeb in question has had to voice such a stupid and often downright hypocritical opinion about something or other. There are many celebs out there who are smart, do invaluable work for charities and causes, Joanna Lumley for one, who can give an informed point of view and do not come across as total air heads, Madonna is not one of them.

I used to be a fan of Madonna, she made great albums and gave a great performance onstage but she is now long past her sell by date. Her last good album 'Ray Of Light' marked a turning point in her career, after which it was downhill all the way and a classic case of a self-obsessed woman who could not cope with the aging process in any dignified way.

Madge's latest foray into the world of political correctness came when she spoke of the discrimination against Eastern European gypsies during her 'Sticky And Sweet' tour concert in Romania. At a pause during the show she said "It has been brought to my attention that there is a lot of discrimination against Romanies and Gypsies in general in Eastern Europe, it made me feel very sad." continuing with "We don't believe in discrimination, we believe in freedom and equal rights for everyone." At which point she was promptly booed by her 60,000 audience.

As I recall Madonna was not so 'sad' nor bothered about 'equal rights for everyone' when back in 2004 she closed a 'right of way' to ramblers across her Wiltshire, UK estate. The land was designated by the Countryside Agency as "open downland" across which anyone has access under “right to roam” legislation. So, no equal rights for everyone when it comes to anything Madonna owns!

I just wonder if she would have the same opinion about gypsies had they parked their caravans on her land? I wonder how she would feel about the intimidation, theft and violence other landowners and surrounding communities have experienced if it happened to her? I wonder just how compassionate towards gypsies she would feel if she had the damage, piles of rubbish and human waste left behind on her land to deal with?

So then Madge, if you feel such empathy towards gypsies why don't you invite a bunch of them to settle on your land?

Of course you won't because you are nothing but another big-mouthed, stupid, celebrity hypocrite.

Obama is losing control of the economy and the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, his health care plan is going down in flames, his administration now admits the projected deficit is actually 2 trillion more than previously estimated, and he's just launched a political witch hunt aginst the CIA making America less safe. So where is he?....on holiday in Martha's Vineyard. Looks like he's 'gettin all wee weed up' over his failures and hiding away while the shit hits the fan.

Buyers remorse is setting in and his poll numbers are plummeting. At last some are waking up to the fact he doesn't really know what he's doing.

Sarah Baxter, another case of PDS

Times of London columnist Sarah Baxter is another with a serious case of Palin derangement syndrome. Having penned several vitriolic hit pieces on Palin she comes up with this piece full of more lies and innuendo. Begs the question exactly what it takes to write for the Times these days. Rehash others opinions, throw in some catty remarks and bingo you can be a columnist like Sarah Baxter too.

Really Sarah, where and when did she say that because to date she hasn't?

What friends did she tell or did you pluck that one out your rear end? What friends of Sarah Palin would confide in such venomous creatures as yourself knowing it will be embellished beyond recognition and go into print? If you heard it from anyone you heard it from her enemies or are simply rehashing from some of the other speculative bile spouted by Palin haters in Washington and the media.

Palin, 45, has found political life demanding with national attention on her family and a steady stream of speculation and allegation compounded by reports that she feared a possible criminal investigation into her relationship with a construction company.

Baxter really needs to do her homework before writing such innuendo. That one's been a non runner since it was touted in the media some months ago and has, as recently as the day before her poisonous tripe was published, been addressed by Palin's lawyers but when did telling the truth get in the way of Baxter having a good ole bitch about Sarah Palin? She appears to work on the principle that if you throw enough shit at someone then some of it will stick, by doing so Baxter is getting covered in it herself making her look like a jealous, vindictive woman.

She burst onto the national political scene less than a year ago as the “thriller from Wasilla” — a moose-hunting ice-hockey mom with five children including Trig, a Down’s syndrome baby — and electrified the party’s Christian conservative base as Senator John McCain’s running mate.

I think this part is so telling. What bugs these hateful women in the media so much about Palin is that she is more of a woman than any of them could be, she has everything they don't. She is beautiful, intelligent and successful, has a loving, devoted husband and great kids, had the courage of her convictions not to abort Trig (as so many of these pseudo women would have done) and is happy with her life as his mother. The mere fact Baxter needs to mention Trig's Down's syndrome is very telling.

In a bizarre, erratic smear piece Baxter gets it wrong again. Palin didn't promise a national role in politics...that's her spin. Does Baxter ever actually listen or does she skip over the parts that don't suit her prejudices?

She feels that she needs to raise her family,” said Andrea Mitchell, an NBC News reporter who is married to Alan Greenspan, former chairman of the Federal Reserve.“She really does not want to run for higher office,” Mitchell added. “This is not a case where she is stepping down in order to clear the way for a presidential run.”

Emerged from the fetid bowels of NBC that is, it isn't called the National Barack Channel for nothing. Of course the liberal Andrea Mitchell is such an unbiased, honest reporter. To try and give her credibility Baxter has to tell us Mitchell is married to Alan Greenspan, or is that simply name dropping? Whichever, doesn't change the fact that Greenspan played a huge part in why the global economy is down the toilet. Mitchell is simply regurgitating gossip and speculation and Baxter is swallowing hook, line and sinker.

As speculation swirled that a scandal was about to break, or that Palin was resigning to further her presidential ambitions, attention switched to her relationship with Spenard Building Supplies, a construction company which sponsors her husband Todd Palin’s snowmobile racing and also supplied the building materials for their home.

Shortly before she became governor, Palin had awarded a contract to SBS to help to build a $13m sports complex in Wasilla, which left the city burdened with debt, according to a report on The Daily Beast website.

Baxter needs to bring this up a second time in the same article and again highlights her journalistic incompetence by relying on The Daily Beast for her information about a matter highlighted and dismissed as untrue during the course of the general election. Palin's lawyers statement on the Wasilla complex can be read here. Of course Spenard Building Supplies supplied the building materials for the Palin's home...it's the ONLY place they could get it from, it's the only show in town, a simple google would have discovered that fact.

Friends said she had simply had enough of juggling life in the harsh national spotlight with the increasingly irksome business of running Alaska, six hours’ flying time from the rest of America.

As usual Baxter provides no names for these so called 'friends', journalism is so easy. The article rambles on with selective negative quotes and rubbish about Palin having post-natal depression, Letterman's vile comment about Palin's daughter (which presumably is just fine with Baxter), Paul Begala's loony rant and more of the usual stuff that has leftists and Baxter drooling over.

One of the reasons I like Sarah Palin is she gets under the skin of bitter and small minded people.....and doesn't it just show! I'm glad that from the 26th July Sarah Palin will be a private citizen and can then take action against those who spread malicious lies about her. It won't stop the likes of Baxter from writing smear pieces but she had better be truthful as nothing would give me greater pleasure than to see her and those like her get their just desserts.

Liz Trotta's elitist rant

Something about Sarah Palin rubs certain women the wrong way, Liz Trotta got her old lady bloomers in a bunch today with this psychotic rant. Referring to Palin as 'inarticulate' and 'undereducated', Trotta comes across as so far up herself she doesn't even realise what an out of touch, elitist snob she is. Attacking Palin of "using her good looks and gender to get ahead" is something Trotta could never be accused of, falsely or otherwise. All this coming from a woman who referred to the women on The View as "Harpies", she needs to listen to herself once in a while.
